If I disable the auto unlock and need to type the password at startup, the drive is available in the clear but it is available as Read Only. WebJul 21, 2024 · 2 answers. "it's either password-unlock or unlock via usb-key" - and that's the problem. Auto-unlock only works for c: if you use the TPM chip as protector, NOT a password or USB key. So obviously these systems have a TPM chip, but you didn't utilize it but used password/usb instead.
