I have tried forcing it after doing some reasearch on Google but it won't move. It is stuck in with the chuck open and the 'teeth' inside and against the inner barrel (I'm a DIY'er and prob not using correct terminology but ... Once loose grab the bottom of the chuck and twist counter clockwise to unthread the chuck its self from the spindle. Follow these steps in reverse to fasten the new chuck to your drill.
