WebbRibchester fort is down in the valley bottom but the road is aligned on Jeffrey Hill. It can be made out by a series of hedgerows most of the way to Jeffrey Hill. The reason for the gap in the road overlaid on this image is that Ribchester was served by link roads and the straight on bit there was never a road (see below).
