Mono Lake is right outside June Lake about a 15 minute drive and is home to the famous Tufas (limestone rock formations that looks like something you would find on an alien planet!) WebPeople confuse Mono Lake Park with the most visited and famed Mono Lake South Tufa. This is a county park, located on the north side of Mono Lake about 5 miles from Lee Vining with a small parking lot (approx 6-8 cars). I would think it's most visited by locals since it in addition has a playground and restroom. The correct address is:
